People who communicate science or would like to. We are primarily focused on helping the professional science communicator community, but also want to foster trainees and those considering science communications as a career.
This is the premiere event for professional science communicators. We have worked hard to make this conference a valuable experience for everyone who works in the science communication field. Whether you are attending virtually or in-person, there will be opportunities for networking in addition to learning from our peers.

Should you need to cancel your registration, either use the link on your confirmation email or send an email to info@sciencecomm.org.
If your cancellation request is received by March 6, 2026, you will receive a full refund less a $20 processing fee. No refunds can be made beyond this date. Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation. Unfortunately, registrations are not transferable to another person.
If you choose to switch formats (virtual to in-person, or vice versa) you will need to cancel your original ticket (before March 6 to receive a full refund), and repurchase a new ticket. If you originally purchased an early-bird ticket, we will honor the early-bird price of the new ticket. Please contact us for assistance.
Some parts of this conference will be in-person, while others will be live-streamed virtually. Session format (virtual or in-person) will be noted in the Agenda within our conference platform, Whova.
In-person short talks, panels and keynotes will be live-streamed for virtual attendees and recorded. Virtual short talks and panels will be recorded. All sessions recordings will be available in Whova for 3 months.
The in-person conference begins each day at 9:00am Pacific Daylight Time each day March 26-27. For virtual event times, please check the Agenda. Virtual workshops are available to all attendees on a first-come, first-served basis beginning March 2nd. Live-streamed content will be available as listed.
You should have received an email confirming your registration that also included instructions to access the event using Whova. We have a separate FAQ for navigating the Whova environment.
Yes! All registered attendees can use the Whova app & conference link to both view live content and to watch the recorded content at a later date. Only workshops will not be available for later viewing unless specifically requested by the facilitator.
Snacks and coffee will be provided during morning & afternoon breaks throughout the conference. ASC will also provide lunch both Thursday and Friday and light hors d’oeuvres at the Thursday evening art/poster networking session. There will be a cash bar for alcoholic beverages.
We will attempt to provide dietary options for those with restrictions.
